Weekend Reading Material // No. 7

No. 7 // May 31-June 1, 2014

+ Now that summer is almost sort-of officially technically upon us, here's the best {and easiest/fastest/etc} way to cut a watermelon into bite-sized pieces.

+ Anyone who knows food truck history and culture, knows who Roy Choi is. But even if you've never heard of him, he still shared some great life lessons on GOOD.is a while back that are worth a read.

+ It's Adoption Week on Small Fry Blog, so if you'd like to read more about the people and process behind adoption, they have some really great posts over there.

+ I'm sure you've all heard the song "Cups" on the radio, like, a bajillion times, yes? Well, Anna Kendrick, the voice behind the song, was named one of FastCompany's 100 Most Creative People in Business this year {she's number eight!} and here's her very awesome interview.

+ 99% Invisible is a San Francisco-based podcast that focuses on design and the "little things," the invisible things in life. If that sounds like it needs more explanation, go check out the descriptions of a few of their latest podcasts and you'll see how awesome they are. They even had a podcast on the Secret Stairs of San Francisco of which, as you know, I am a fan.

+ Okay, this is from last autumn, but I still like this music video version of your average airline flight safety speech. Props, Virgin America, props.

+ Any big decisions to make? Stressed? Confused? Nervous? This will make you feel better.
